President’s Letter

Welcome to the Strategic Systems Group, Inc. web site. We intend for this site to be a resource to our clients as well as a place for us to tell you what services and products we provide.

We strongly believe in helping the user communities that we support and in being a good business partner. To that end, we have incorporated a number of resources into this site that may be useful to you and your organization.

The Knowledge Base and Resource sections of this site contain white papers and information on webinars that are timely to activities that are happening in the user communities. There is also an Archive section of white papers and presentations that have been given at various user conferences over the years.

You will find a section that pertains to the MK List Server. This unique service has over 300 subscribers and serves as a “virtual” users group for organizations running the MK application. Topics of discussion include Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, System Management, Development Tools and third party reporting. We have also supplied a link to a historical database, a feature of the List Server, with e-mail activity going back to 1995. Helpful information about the MK application can be extracted from this archive using a keyword search facility.

Over the years, we have been very fortunate to have an increasing number of clients utilize our services. Our consulting, training and software development services have been critical to implementations, upgrades, data migrations, optimizing utilization of the ERP application, and development of customer-facing applications.

We are proud to offer a number of software products designed to enhance features and capabilities of the Baan and MK applications, and when needed, provide a means to migrate to a new ERP application. The first is a business intelligence reporting and data warehouse product named SSGBusIntell. This product leverages the data that is collected by your ERP application and puts that data into usable information for the business user.

It provides an end-user reporting methodology that removes I/T from the reporting loop and enables the business users to gain valuable insights into their business.

In response to many companies that are moving to different ERP applications, SSG created a data migration tool that enables you to minimize the data migration/conversion efforts of an implementation project. This allows I/T to focus on other tasks and delivers the data to the project team much earlier in the process for pilot testing and data validation.

We also created a number of customer-facing applications that allow you to deploy select ERP data to the web. This tool can be used to distribute important information to sales and service personnel, as well as customers and suppliers.

Finally, we offer an EDI package, SSG*EDI, that facilitates the transfer of X.12 transactions between your ERP application and the VAN. This tool allows users to dramatically shorten the implementation time for EDI and opens the door for transactions that MK and Baan do not currently support.
