SSG*EDI Overview

EDI transaction processing is simplified using SSG*EDI. All activities can now be managed through a single interface. Standard processing is enhanced by the ability of SSG*EDI to identify Sales Order Change transactions, which can then be entered and tracked.

One comprehensive user interface, which is easy to use, makes this product valuable not only to the end-user but also the I/T staff. The effort and time required to monitor and audit incoming transactions is greatly reduced because the steps are incorporated into this process.

Once implemented, this application runs quietly in the background. All required steps are included in SSG*EDI, and notification of activity and transaction status is automatically e-mailed or printed.

Data is validated before being imported into the ERP application

Data Flow - Inbound

Documents are received from VAN
Functional Acknowledgements are sent to VAN
Translator maps raw EDI data to file
Mapped file is loaded into SSG*EDI database
MK EDI cross-references are exported and loaded into SSG*EDI database
Item codes, addresses, and partner codes are converted with MK cross-reference data
Documents are checked for errors
Compliant documents are exported to file and loaded into MK via SQL
Erred documents are sent to the error file to await re-processing
Reports are printed and emailed

Data Flow - Outbound

Documents are flagged as EDI documents
The SQL is run to create the data file
Data file is loaded into SSG*EDI database
EDI cross-references are exported and loaded into SSG*EDI database
Item codes, addresses, and partner codes are converted using cross-reference data
Documents are checked for errors
Erred documents are sent to the error file to await re-processing
Compliant documents are imported into the EDI translator
The translator maps ERP data to raw EDI data
Documents are sent to the VAN
Reports are printed and emailed
